Sportstown

Any time I’m looking for a fun, laid back place to hang out, I come to Sportstown. With every visit, I receive a warm and genuine welcome. Even though this is a very lowkey bar that caters to a huge neighborhood crowd, the bartenders always succeed in making me feel right at home. In particular, I always know I’m in for a nice night when I see Alex behind the bar. Even when he’s busy, he always makes a point to greet me and hand me a cold drink as soon as possible (even when I’m feeling indecisive and can’t decide, he helps me come to a decision in no time with great recommendations based on what I’m feeling at the time). All in all, great neighborhood drinking spot with lovely people behind the bar. The whole crew always treat me like family and even as a lover of hard liquor and cocktails, I consistently chose this bar over others in the area for the staff alone.

Random discovered this place while at tasty Tuesday can me and m friends agree this is our place now. Can't bet great beer with plenty of pool tables to play on and if that not you deal then you can play on one of the countless arcade games all around the bar and challenge you friend to a game of ping pong or relax and play a board game. A bar for the young and the young at heart. Love at first sight 🥰.

I stopped in after about 10 (edit-10years)being away. NY friends, Pablo and myself used to start off our weekend club runs here by playing some foosball, and doesn't some fair priced starter brews. There's much more to Sportstown than I have pictures of, it's really a well rounded sports bar, with many pool tables, and even an area for ping pong! My only complaint, and I'm cautious about this kind of thing because people do have bad days, is the unhappy, and unfriendly attitude of the bartender, she may have simply been having a bad day, we've all been there, but I didn't feel welcomed in the way I used to reach and every visit, I only mention it because that's something that matters to me, and something I really miss. That should have any impact on your ability to have a complete sports bar experience, with the exact ambience one would expect from a bar that's been around long before most of us were born! I do miss Lee and Vickie, but times change. Please visit this very special place and enjoy one of the most comfortable and inviting gathering places in Orlando!
